Egyptian

A family of typefaces distinguished by heavy slab serifs and little contrast between the thick and thin strokes. Slab serif and square serif are the more common terms for such typefaces.

embossing

A process for producing raised designs on paper or similar substrates. This is done through a stamping process where paper is pressed between a metal female die and male counter-die, resulting in the paper being formed into a specified shape. Lettering, artwork or a pattern on a cover can be embossed to create a richer and more dimensional design.
